About Us

Hi! We are Matt and Courtney and we are the faces behind 423 Candle Company. We have always loved to make our home smell good and weren't finding what we liked. We started this as a hobby, something we could do together. That hobby has turned into 423 Candle Company.

Matt split his childhood between Richlands, NC and Edenton, NC before joining the United States Marine Corps after high school. After leaving the Marine Corps, Matt started long haul truck driving and then switched over to driving for food/beverage companies.

Courtney spent the majority of her childhood in Jacksonville, NC with strong ties to Mount Airy, NC. She became and emergency room nurse and when the pandemic hit, decided to try her hand at travel nursing. She has completed multiple contracts across North Carolina and Virginia.

We have two wonderful children and currently reside in Mount Airy, NC. We are looking forward to getting to know all of our customers and you getting to know us! We can't wait to share our creations with North Carolina and the world.
